Frequently Asked Questions

How does a virtual home consultation work?

During the consultation, you will walk through the home using your phone or tablet while I guide you through key areas such as the entryway, bathroom, bedroom, and living spaces. I will identify potential safety risks and provide recommendations in real time.

Do I need to have any equipment or changes completed before the consultation?

No. The purpose of the consultation is to help you understand what changes may be needed. You do not need to purchase anything in advance.

What will I receive after the consultation?

You will receive a personalized home safety report outlining key risks, prioritized recommendations, and suggested equipment or modifications to improve safety and accessibility.

Is this only for older adults?

No. This service is helpful for anyone experiencing a change in mobility, recovering from surgery, or preparing for a transition home after hospitalization.

Can this help prevent falls or hospitalizations?

While no service can guarantee prevention, identifying and addressing safety risks in the home can significantly reduce the likelihood of falls and related injuries.

Do you provide in-person services?

At this time, all consultations are conducted virtually, allowing families to receive guidance quickly and conveniently. However, if you reside in the Sacramento area, I also offer limited in-home support for local clients that includes home safety and continued wellness and independence support after being discharged from therapy.

Will insurance cover this service?

This is a private consulting service and is not billed through insurance.

Who typically schedules these consultations?

Most often, adult children or family members schedule consultations when they are helping a loved one prepare to return home or navigate changes in mobility.

What other services or add-ons do you offer?

Optional support services include:

  • In-home visits for hands-on guidance

  • A follow-up session to review progress, answer new questions, and provide additional guidance after implementing recommendations.

  • Priority Report Delivery

  • Detailed Equipment & Product Guide

  • Caregiver Guidance & Support Session

These can be scheduled after your consultation.

I just got discharged from therapy but still need support. Can you help me?

Yes! Many clients use our services after completing therapy to continue building strength, improve balance, and maintain independence at home. We start with a consultation to create a personalized plan, and Sacramento-area clients can also schedule hands-on in-home visits to implement recommendations.
